*Discussion*
- New members for Salsa
There was discussion of 2-3 potential new members to be added to Salsa. Names of potential candidates have been circulated to the list. 2 people have risen to the top, Mark and/or Ken will be contacting them shortly. [AI] {anyone} with comments on any of the candidates please contact Mark and Ken

- Disaster Planning & Recovery WG
Ken will be contacting the potential new chair. There will be a BoF at Joint Techs. More to come on this as it develops.

- Spring I2mm Planning
Not a lot submitted to the program committee to date. Chris is working on several potential topics:
      - RADIUS/SAML (?)
      - Salsa update
      - EDDY crossover with middleware (?)
      - REN-ISAC update? How to use the service offerings, data sharing, etc.
      - Security considerations surrounding Lambdas on your campus (BoF?)
      - Security topics for managers - what the analysts aren't telling you (?)
Jack will help Chris with this

[AI] {anyone} with suggested I2MM topics or speakers please contact Chris and Renee

- Lambda BoF at Joint Techs
Joe will be leading this BoF. This issue is gaining higher visibility lately and we will be interested to see if there appears to be enough interest and critical mass resulting from the BoF to continue into the formation of a WG.

- Firewalls
Following up on the document produced by OGF, which has been reviewed and discussed by a few Salsa members, this group will be meeting at the upcoming OGF meeting. One interesting question is about how relevant this is to the European R&E community. There may be some upcoming US Gov't. agency funding in this space.

The U. California system is finalizing an advanced networking white paper which will be relevant.

[AI} {Ken} will forward the UC advanced networking white paper to the list as soon as it is released.

How does this relate to ongoing CyberInfrastructure planning, and e.g. the issues discussed at the CRCC (Campus Research Computing Cyberinfrastructure) workshop? Not clear yet, still developing...

- REN-ISAC business planning
Making progress, Jack is working with Mark B. on this. Will be adding one more person to the exec advisory group, possibly from a SC center. There may also be some candidates surfacing at the upcoming NSF CyberSecurity Workshop, Rodney and Jack will be pursuing that angle.

Goal is to circulate a draft by mid-late Summer, then discuss at Fall I2MM and Educause meeting.

There was some discussion of the vetting for membership, and admission to the secure REN-ISAC list. This will be followed up on in coming months with the Exec Advisory Group (EAG).

Planning for the REN-ISAC meeting following the Security Professionals conference is well under way, Chris is lead on this...

- Transparency
There has been increased interest in the operation of Salsa, which is a result of our effectiveness and leadership as a steering group in the R&E community. Ken will be producing some public documentation along the lines of describing us to the community more clearly. This may develop into a BoF at the Spring I2MM

- WG update: CSI2
Invitational workshop in Cambridge MA March 5-6, Chris is leading the planning on this. Would it be useful to invite someone from GEANT? Probably yes...
[AI] Ken will follow up with Chris on identifying the right GEANT person to invite.

- WG update: FWNA
No international consensus on RADIUS/SAML yet, but the WG is making forward progress
