*Discussion*
- NetAuth Update There has been good contact with the chair of the TCG TNC (Trusted Network Connect) working group. IETF NEA not yet a working group, not clear whether it will eventually become one
- CSI2 Update Shared darknet project progressing, discussion surrounding standardization and data formats. There may be some value in leveraging some of the expertise within CSI2, working with REN-ISAC, working on commonalities among homegrown tools, and organizing some kind of tool sharing effort, stay tuned for more to come on this...
- REN-ISAC update
The REN-ISAC member survey is under way, questions developed by the TAG. Goal is to gauge effectiveness of current activities and seek input on how they could be expanded/improved, or what new services could/should be added.
Doug was at a security workshop in Japan (Japan Gigabit Network), they are doing some development work that overlaps a bit with CSI2, e.g. darknet collection and analysis, bringing multiple darknet sources into a common incident system, then developing notifications from them. Interest there in RENOIR as well. Doug will be looking at ways to collaborate with them ongoing.
- DNSSEC Update
Bilateral pilot under way, 4-5 institutions participating. Educause is now part of the group and looking ahead to signing the TLD.
They are looking at proposing a session for the Fall Internet2 Member Meeting, stay tuned for more to come on this...
